The first-leg ended with Djurgarden needing a 3-0 win or more on Sunday otherwise they will join relegated duo of Orgryte and Hammarby in the Superettan. Assyriska took the lead on 39 minutes through Dennis Ostlundh to the delight of the freezing fans.
The game played in the bitter cold took a warm turn as Assyriska made it 2-0 three minutes after half-time as Goran Marklund found the Djurgarden net. Djurgarden have a mountain to climb on Sunday.
