With the January transfer window now fully open for business, clubs throughout Sweden have already stared signing.
In November a number of players at top flight clubs were allowed to leave for free and some have found new clubs in Sweden and abroad.
The most active clubs so far have been Gefle and Djurgarden. Gefle have signed no fewer than six players so far, after 2009's promise which ended in disappointment. Of the players arrving in Gavle, James Frempong looks a good move. Jaro FF's Jens Portin also looks a good signing.
Djurgarden have turned to Finland, as they look to improve their fortunes of recent years. The Stockholm club has also shown eight players the door. Of the players leaving two have retired while Leandro OrtÃz has returned to River Plate following a loan spell.
Mjallby:
Newly promoted Mjallby have signed three new players as they look to avoid relegation in 2010. New Zealand midfielder Craig Henderson has arrived from Dartmouth in New Hampshire, while Daniel Nicklasson has arrived from GAIS.
The other player to arrive is Landskrona BoIS' Jesper Westerberg. Mjallby need to add more Allsvenskan experienced players if they are to be here in 2011.
Jonas Sandqvist:
Former Malmo no.1 Jonas Sandqvist left the club back in November and has now found a new club in Atromitos in Greece.
He has signed a 2.5 year deal during which he will challenge Chrisostomos Michailidis for the no.1 spot in the side currently 10th in the Greek Super League.
