Miller in at AIK

AIK have moved swiftly to save their season as they have announced that Alex Miller will be their new manager. AIK found out yesterday their champions league opponents but after that comes the resumption of the Allsvenskan campaign that has so far been really poor for AIK.
Alex Miller who was part of Rafael Benítez's back-room staff when Liverpool won the champions league in 2005 will take over from Bjorn Weestrom. Weestrom will become Miller's assistant for the rest of the season.
So far it is unknown as to Miller's contract but it has been speculated to be until the end of the season with a review process afterwards to decide if Miller will be kept on. AIK resume their domestic campaign on July 5th with a Svenska Cupen tie away to Angelholm before their Champions league tie with Jeunesse Esch which is followed by their first Allsvenskan match after the summer break at home to high-flyers Malmo.
