Sweden and Germany drew blanks at the Gamla Ullevi on Wednesday night in which the Germans bought a new young team with them.
Having impressed during the world cup this new German side featured the likes of Lewis Holtby who has impressed for Mainz this season while Marcel Schmelzer also featured for the away side.
Sweden called up Alexander Gerndt to the squad after his fantastic year for both Gefle and Helsingborgs while Erik Hamrén also called up Rosenborg's Mikael Lustig as he prepares for the next qualifer in the Euro 2012 campaign against Moldova in March.
The game was played in the cold Goteborg air in November but did give an idication that work is still needed if Sweden are to rise and qualifier for Euro 2012.
