Not the start a new-look Halmstads wanted as they were shout out by a resilient Kalmar side. The draw in truth was always on the cards as Kalmar went to the Orjans Vall looking to hold out for a draw. The pressure was on Halmstads to get a good result and although they came close on ocasions they didn't look sharp enough. Being the first game of the season Josep Ruíz will be looking for a more sharp performance when they go to Malmo next week.
