Malmo took advantage of the clash between the best sides in the Allsvenskan this season as they ran out 2-0 winners at the Swedbank Arena. The game itself, however was very tight and as expected both sides were cautious especially of what was at stake.
Dardan Rexhepi put the hosts ahead in the 17th minute before Malmo continued to carve chances while Helsingborgs were looking to Rasmus Jonsson and Alexander Gerndt. In added time though when Helsingborgs were going out to salvage something from the game Wilton Figueiredo put Malmo 2-0 up and sealed what could be an absolutely vital three points come the end of the season.
