Kalmar 2-2 GAIS 17th October 2009

Kalmar slipped to 4th after this draw against a GAIS side who are now safe of automatic relegation after this result. Alexander Axén's side have been picking up enough points here and there while Kalmar have dropped points in recent weeks. Fans barely had time to get settled when Daniel Sobralense found the net in the very first minutes for one of the fastest goals this season. Another Brazilian scored but for GAIS on 17 minutes, the highly rated Wanderson getting another goal in a fantastic season for him. Reinaldo became the 3rd Brazilian to score when giving Kalmar the lead again just short of the hour mark. GAIS were pushing for the point and found it through Mervan Celik. Celik, a 19-year old with a promising future could be the star for GAIS next season.
