Per Olsson's men did make it 2-0 on the hour mark as Gerndt grabbed his 2nd of the game and was taken off soon after. Gefle had chances further on in the game with Frempong and Lantto missing the target but NSÍ could have forced a vital goal on 77 minutes when Károly Potemkin forced Matias Hugosson into action. A good 2-0 win which means that NSÍ Runavík need at least three goals to progress.

NSÍ Runavík 0-2 Gefle 1st July 2010
Gefle will take a two goal lead back with them to Sweden ahead of next Thursday's 2nd leg in Gavle. Their Faroes opponents did however frustrate Gefle for long periods and it wasn't until 35 minutes in when Alexander Gerndt made it 1-0. Do their credit NSÍ kept their focus until half-time.
