GAIS move away from the drop zone after beating a Gefle side that appears to be falling apart after such a great season. Wanderson put the hosts in front after just 4 minutes before Gefle tried to get back into the game with a couple of chances before half-time. Icelandic national Eyjólfur Hédinsson made it 2-0 just two minutes into the 2nd half. Wanderson got his 2nd of the night on the hour mark. Wanderson, GAIS best player who could be leaving at the end of the season finished off a fine night with a hat-trick on 85 minutes to wrap up a fine night for the Göteborg side.
