Sweden secured a vital win in Budapest on Saturday night with Zlatan Ibrahimovic grabbing a last gasp winner for the Swedes. Sweden knew anything other than a win was needed and got off to good start when defender Olof Mellberg gave them a 9th minute lead. Sweden pressed for a 2nd while Hungary featuring a number of familiar faces such as Zóltán Gera, Peter Halmósi, Balazs Dzsudzsák and Tamas Hajnál had chances themselves to level.
Szabolcs Huszti converted a 79th minute penalty to damping the spirits of the Swedes. But Sweden had other ideas and it was Barcelona star Zlatan Ibrahimovic who scored the winner in the 3rd minute of added time to secure the much needed win for Sweden.
Next up on Wednesday night is Malta in Valetta.
