Further goals from Peter Nilsson and Josef Karlsson sent BK through.

Nathan Paulse had given Hammarby the lead before Jesper Arvidsson levelled to force extra-time. Robert Walker gave Åtvidabergs the lead before Davies' double helped Hammarby get through.

IF Brommapojkarna club in form

IF Brommapojkarna are taking the Allsvenskan by storm this season. After 5 games the newly promoted side are 3rd with 10 points and are 2 points off AIK at the top. But how could this have been possible for a side that play in the smallest stadium in the league and just squeezed into the play-off place last November.

Star Players: IF Brommapojkarna have a good unit of players who were there when they went down in 2007. Pär Asp was with the club when they were relegated from the Allsvenskan in 2007 and while the club just about did enough to get a play-off place they have kept hold of their players. Joakim Runnemo is another player who was with the club in their last Allsvenskan season in 2007 he is currently their top scorer with 4 so far. And then their is Olof Guterstam. Played for Hammarby last year but wasn't used enough returned over the pre-season and is now leading the attack.

Squad: The squad is good but lack strength in dept. But how long can they stay up in the top half of the table?

Djurgården crisis?

Djurgården are they in crisis? Judging by the recent form they are. Resultswise they have reason to worry. A big club that Djurgården are they should be further up the table but have 4 points from a possible 15. They currently sit 3rd bottom in the relegation play-off place.

Stockholm Derbies: Djurgården have faced 2 Stockholm derbies in the past week and both have ended in defeat. A 1-3 reverse against Hammarby was bad but a 2-0 home defeat to newly promoted IF Brommapojkarna was poor.

Coaches: Zoran Lukić has his work cut out to get Djurgården back to winning ways and up the table. Siggi Jónsson failed to do that last year as Djurgården flirted with relegation before eventually pulling themselves away. Co-Coaches Andrée Jeglertz and Zoran Lukić have experience of Djurgården fighting for titles but not relegation battles.

Djurgården 0-2 IF Brommapojkarna 24th April 2009

Djurgården suffered a stockholm derby defeat last time out and they have done the same this week. IF Brommapojkarna continue their fantastic start with another win here. Joakim Runnemo scored in the very 1st minute and it was the same man who set-up Philip Haglund for the 2nd goal on 70 minutes. Djurgården are dropping like a fly in the table and are now in the relegation play-off place.

Djurgården: Pa Dembo Touray (g.k), Patrik Haginge, Markus Johannesson (C), Kebba Ceesay, Petter Gustafsson, Martin Andersson, Daniel Sjölund, Mikael Dahlberg, Christer Youssef, Johan Oremo, Hrvoje Milic subs: Oskar Wahlström (g.k), Toni Kuivasto, Andrej Komac, Sebastian Rajalakso, Trimi Makolli

Hammarby 0-1 IFK Göteborg 23rd April 2009

An own goal on 28 minutes saw Halmstads go 1-0 down. But Anselmo levelled on 69 minutes before Joe Sise gave Halmstads the lead on 80 minutes. Mikeal Rosén made sure of the result with his goal in added time.

Elfsborg 1-0 Malmö 22nd April 2009

Elfsborg made hard-work of this result as Malmö look to challenge this year. Mathias Florén scored the only goal on 30 minutes as Malmö couldn't find a way past Jonas Sandqvist. Agon Mehmeti couldn't force a draw for Malmö.

BK Häcken 1-0 Trelleborgs 22nd April 2009

BK Häcken are enjoying a good solid start to the season and it continued against Trelleborgs here. Just the one goal from Peter Nyström on 78 minutes was enough to secure the win and the points.

Kalmar 0-1 Halmstads 19th April 2009

Champions Kalmar are not in good mood after this set-back. Anel Raskaj scored the only goal on 7 minutes to secure Halmstads the much needed win against the Champions. Kalmar need wins if they are to get any chance of lifting the title again.

Malmö 1-1 Trelleborgs 19th April 2009

Malmö like Trelleborgs made it a 4 point week as they played out a 1-1 draw at the new Swedbank Arena. But Malmö will be pleased about this result as will Trelleborgs.

Elfsborg 1-1 Kalmar 16th April 2009

The showdown at the Borås Arena. The top 2 from 2008 faced off with Elfsborg looking for revenge for what happened last year. The big-kick-off Tomorrow

The Allsvenskan is back tomorrow with 16 teams taking part. I have my predictions ready as the league prepares for kick-off.

The championship will be close but Kalmar i think won't go down without a fight. Elfsborg unlucky last year i think will have the quality to win the championship in November.

European places: Helsingborgs should be up there at the end of the season and AIK will be up there i think. But IFK Göteborg have the squad to get into the Europa League and will be my dark-horse for the championship. Djurgården could be up and around there.

European Challengers: Halmstads are my bet to challenge the Europe chasing sides along with Hammarby. But will 2009 be the year Malmö make a charge on Europe. But for me Halmstads will be the best out of those 3 sides.

Mid-Table Safety: I think after last year's showing Örebro may be safe but they are unpredictable. Örgryte, newly promoted have the quality to stay up.

Relegation scrap: Expect Gefle, GAIS and Trelleborg to be in and around the dog-fight this year. Gefle narrowly avoided relegation last year and GAIS are unpredictable and Trelleborg have lost a few players.

Relegation: I can't see IF Brommapojkarna staying up. Olof Guterstam is the big name player but the team are going to struggle in the league this season. BK Häcken have the element of surprise about them but i think they could go down but they may show us otherwise.

E-mail me your predictions legendconor@yahoo.com let me see yours!!!
