Allsvenskan Round 2 Preview

After the opening weekend there is another full program of fixtures this weekend.

Friday 10th April:

We have 3 games on Friday with Halmstads hosting Trelleborgs in what should be a good game at Örjans Vall. Halmstads will be looking for the win while Trelleborgs will be looking to build on the point they got last week.

IF Brommapojkarna have home advantage against fellow new promoted club BK Häcken. Both sides won promotion in 2008 and this is a big game for both sides. Brommapojkarna drew last week while BK Häcken lost.

Örebro play their 1st home game of the season on Friday night against title hopefuls Elfsborg. Last year Örebro won 4-2 at home but this should be closer. Elfsborg drew last weekend while Örebro narrowly lost.

Saturday 11th April:

Just one game on Saturday that sees IFK Göteborg clash with rivals Djurgården. IFK Göteborg lost last weekend while Djurgården won but this will be the game of the round.

Sunday 12th April:

Easter Sunday has just one game taking place with Hammarby hosting Gefle at the Söderstadion. Both sides drew their opening games and Hammarby will be the favourites.

Monday 13th April:

The remaining 3 games take place on Monday with GAIS hosting Helsingborgs. GAIS will be confident having put 5 past Örgryte last weekend. Helsingborgs also won last weekend.

Malmö host Örgryte in a game that Malmö will be clear favourites. Malmö got a win last weekend while Örgryte were trashed 1-5 by GAIS.

The last game sees champions Kalmar at home for the 1st time this season against AIK hoping for a better season than 2008.
