IFK Goteborg 5-1 Elfsborg 18th April 2010

IFK Goteborg turned a new stone this season as they bounced back from a slump in form in style. Elfsborg themselves were on a good run but they were simply no match for IFK today.
It started so well for the visitors as they took a 4th minute lead through Martin Ericsson. But their afternoon began to turn bad as keeper Nathan Coe was sent-off which forced Martin Ericsson off for Joakim Wulff to deputize.
Four minutes later Sebastian Eriksson leveled the scores before Icelandic ace Hjalmar Jonsson put IFK in front on 41 minutes.
Elfsborg were now chasing the game for at least a point and their hopes were dealt a big blow when Jakob Johansson put IFK 3-1 up with nine minutes to go. IFK went on to add a 4th goal with Johansson getting his 2nd of the game three minutes before the end. There was still time for Robin Soder to score his first goal of the season and his first in just under a year. A marvelous day for IFK while Elfsborg will say the sending off of Coe was the turning point.
