GAIS 4-0 Trelleborgs April 9th 2011

Having gone down 2-0 away to Norrkoping last week, GAIS were determined to kick-start their campaign with a good victory in front of their own fans at the Gamla Ullevi. Victory was what they got but they got it in some style. Having re-signed Brazilian Wanderson do Carmo from Al-Ahli in Saudi Arabia, GAIS were to be unstoppable yesterday. Wanderson simply ran the show. He found fellow Brazilian Álvaro Santos on the quarter hour which Santos stroked past Viktor Norling. Forteen minutes later Álvaro Santos was on target again as Wanderson teed him up to fire past Norling, who was to be in for a busy day. Czech Mervan Celik made it three thanks to the in-from Brazilian playmaker before Wanderson himself rounded off a perfect day with a fully deserved goal in added time.
