After 7 games back in the Allsvenskan Örgryte have not had the start they wanted nor what people expected. Örgryte are based in Sweden's 2nd city of Göteborg. But what has gone wrong for Örgryte. Having won the 2008 Suprettan by 2 points from fellow Göteborg side BK Häcken some expected them to have the best chance of staying up in 2009? After 7 games BK Häcken were 2 points clear of the play-off place, IF Brommapojkarna were 5th and Örgryte were bottom and just secured their 1st point of 2009.
3 goals scored in 7 games and having shipped 16 goals in the process including an opening 1-5 loss to GAIS, also from Göteborg. That is relegation form and Örgryte need to change rapidly if they are to avoid what happened to IFK Norrköping in 2008. IFK made a poor start and found themselves well off safety by the mid-point last year and eventually got relegated. It is just 7 games but Örgryte need wins now to kick-start their season!
