IFK Göteborg will be losing one of their best players in June. Striker Pontus Wernbloom has agreed to join new Eredivisie champions AZ Alkmaar. Wernbloom becomes the 3rd Swedish striker to move to Holland in the past 6 months following on from Viktor Elm and Patrik Ingelsten.
Wernbloom will be given the number 17 shirt at the DSB Stadion for 2009-2010.
Wernbloom currently has 22 goals in total for IFK since 2005.
