Svenska Cupen Round 4 13th May 2009

The 4th round of the Svenska Cupen took place on Wednesday with 7 ties taking place. 

Örebro 3-0 Halmstads: This game was goalless after 75 minutes before American Alejandro Bedoya opened the scoring. 10 minutes later Emra Tahirovic made it safe before he got his 2nd of the night in added time. 

Mjällby 4-2 Hammarby: Hammarby's woeful start to the season continued with a shock 4-2 defeat away to Suprettan side Mjällby. Adam Berner opened the scores on 11 minutes for the underdogs before Marcus Ekenberg made it 2-0 just 3 minutes later. Erton Fejzullahu made it a safe 3-0 on 33 minutes. Charlie Davies pulled a goal back on 63 minutes and Louay Chanko pulled the scores back to 3-2 on 73 minutes but Mjällby eased any nerves with a killer 4th in added time thanks to David Löfquist. 

GIF Sundsvall 3-5 BK Häcken: These two sides played out a thriller and it all started on 2 minutes when Jaane Saarinen put BK Häcken in front. 21 minutes later Saarinen made it 0-2 to the Allsvenskan side. John Chibuike made it 0-3 on 59 minutes. It appeared BK Häcken were going to stroll through but Linus Hallenius pulled a goal back on 69 minutes. BK Häcken found a 4th though on 72 minutes thanks to Vinicius but just 2 minutes later Christian Söderberg made it 2-4. Vinicius got his 2nd of the game on 79 minutes before Hannes Sigurdsson made it 3-5 in added time. 

Landskrona BoIS 1-4 IFK Göteborg: IFK Göteborg are through after ousting Landskrona BoIS 1-4. Departing Pontus Wernbloom opened the scoring on 34 minutes before Ragnar Sigurdsson made it 0-2 just 5 minutes later. Stefan Selakovic made it 0-3 on 77 minutes to all but book IFK's place. Pär Cederquist made it 1-3 on 78 minutes before IFK Göteborg wrapped up a fine days work with a 4th goal on 83 minutes with Selakovic grabbing his 2nd of the game. 

Gefle 1-0 Djurgården: Marcus Hansson's 14th minute strike ended Djurgården's intrest in the Svenska Cupen this season. The Stockholm side have a faltering league campaign to concentrate on now. 

Sirius 0-1 AIK: Viktor Lundberg scored the only goal of the game in the 9th minute to knock-out Sirius and send AIK through. 

Syrianska 2-1 Elfsborg: Another big shock of the round saw Elfsborg exit at the hands of Suprettan side Syrianska. Daniel Nordmark had given the Allsvenskan side the lead on 33 minutes before Nahir Awrohum levelled on 48 minutes. Imad Zatara scored the winner on 80 minutes to knock-out Elfsborg.
