Europa League Preview

Helsingborgs are in action on Thursday night as they get their European campaign underway against Armenian side MIKA Yerevan. Helsingborgs will be strong favourites against their lesser known opponents from Armenia.

Helsingborgs: Helsingborgs secured their place in the semi-finals of the Svenska Cupen last weekend with a 3-1 win over Syrianska so they will be up for this game at the Olympia. Tomorrow could also see Rasmus Jönsson start. Henrik Larsson, linked with a move to Australian side Gold Coast United may lead the team. René Makondele, scorer of 3 goals this season could be in line.

MIKA Yerevan: Hailing from the Armenian capital of Yerevan, MIKA are an unknown product in Europe. Their record in European competition is not spectacular with 3 wins, 2 draw and 9 defeats in 14 previous UEFA Cup games. MIKA are currently 2nd in the Bardzraguyn Khumb and finished 4th last year.

The 1st leg is on tomorrow night at the Olympia with a 20:45 CET kick-off with the 2nd leg on the 9th of July. The winners play the winners of Lisburn Distillery (Northern Ireland) v Zestaponi (Georgia).
