Sochuax right for Charlie Davies?

Charlie Davies has left Hammarby for Sochuax in France but is it the right move for the striker?

Charlie Davies arrived in Sweden in time for the 2007 season when he signed for Stockholm giants Hammarby. The U.S striker has made no secret of his desire to play in one of Europe's big leagues and despite a tough 2007 campaign when he netted only 4 goals all season of which 3 were in in the final game against GAIS.

Charlie Davies has made the step up from Sweden to France after playing well during the USA's Confederations cup expliots but is moving now a good option? The year before a World cup which the USA are guarenteed of qualifying baring a miracle. Davies will have to settle in quickly and scoring goals if he is to make that world cup squad in May next year. Had he stayed at Hammarby for next season and played well he could have bigger clubs knocking on the door?

Sochaux finished 14th in Ligue 1 last season and have been struggling in recent years with big players moving on. Charlie Davies has been given the No.9 shirt for 2009-10.
