Kalmar 3-1 Debrecen 22nd July 2009

Despite a sprited comeback Kalmar bowed out of the Champions League at the 2nd Qualifying round after Debrecen squeezed through on away goals. Leading 2-0 from the 1st half Debrecen took the lead here early on with Jozsef Varga getting on the scoresheet on 13 minutes. Ramus Elm's cross was not met by anyone and drifted in to level the scores on the night and Daniel Mendes gave them hope on 32 minutes with a goal. Rasmus Elm converted a 71st minute penalty but Kalmar still needed 1 more. In the end Kalmar exited on away goals. Debrecen go through to met Levadia Tallinn.
