Both sides were in good form during the last few weeks and a draw was likely, though it was the home-side who took the lead through big defender Nils-Eric Johansson after just three minutes. Kalmar though have come back from behind in recent weeks and had to wait until 69 minutes for their break-trough, Tobias Ericsson getting himself on the scoresheet.
A draw maybe a fair result but it is another twist in the title race.
