Elfsborg 2-3 Gefle 9th August 2009

Elfsborg slipped to 5th after this shock 3-2 reverse at home to Gefle. Having deposed of Sporting Braga in the Europa League on Thursday, Elfsborg were expected to get another win here. But Gefle are not ones to back down. Stefan Ishizaki gave Elfsborg the lead on 12 minutes but that didn't down Gefle's confidence. Yannick Bapupa levelled four minutes into the 2nd half. Bapupa made the most of Gefle's possestion when he fired the Gavle club in front on 65 minutes. Elfsborg were rocked by that goal and were stunned when Jonas Lantto made it 3-1 to the visitors with just nine minutes remaining. Stefan Ishizaki got his 2nd of the night with three minutes left but it wasn't enough.
