FK Sarajevo 2-1 Helsingborgs 6th August 2009

FK Sarajevo have qualified for the Europa League play-off round after overcoming Helsingborgs 5-4 on penalties.
Rasmus Jönsson gave Helsingborgs the perfect start when he found the net in the 2nd minute to make it 3-1 in the tie. But FK Sarajevo refused to back down and levelled on the night through Damir Hadžić on 38 minutes. FK Sarajevo needed one more goal to take the tie to extra-time and they got it on 78 minutes when Alen Avdić slotted past Pär Hansson.
Extra-time was needed but no team took any chances and the dreaded penalty shoot-out was needed. Joel Ekstrand missed his spot-kick which allowed Faruk Ihtijarević to give FK Sarajevo a 2-1 lead on penalties. Đenaldin Hamzagić scored the winning spot-kick to send FK Sarajevo through at the expense of Helsingborgs.
