Alessandro Silva gave the hosts the lead after just 15 minutes of play before IFK Göteborg got into the game. IFK have lost some key players this summer but still have Tobias Hycén who levelled for IFK on 53 minutes. A draw seemed on the cards until the former Sunderland striker Hycén struck in added time to secure the victory for IFK.
